Technology

How our students use technology tools is what gives those tools their intrinsic value. We are the ingenuity needed to produce high level thinking and creative, passionate learning…the technology helps us do it more collaboratively, globally, and in a way that our students can relate to as part of their quality world.

Day 1 at BLC 08

What an incrediblely horrible night! I was just so sick all night long. I am so glad that this morning has dawned with what appears to be an end to it all. UGH.

I am excited about today’s activities! I can’t wait! I will blog about each session I attend and let you know what I’ve learned!

Off to the free breakfast and my first session!

Building Learning Communities Conference in Boston

We are in Boston this week, on our last trip as the Instructional Technology Department. We are here to experience, grow, and share at the Building Learning Communities Coference 08 hosted by Alan November and November Learning.

We’re staying in the conference hotel, the Marriott Newton about 20 minutes outside of the city. It’s lovely here. Low 80’s during the day and high 60s at night.

Adventurous as we are, we jumped on the ‘T’ – the local train/subway system and found our way to Fenway Park – Home of the Boston Red Sox. We had lunch at the Bleacher Bar – a Bar and Grill that overlooks the infield. It was really cool.

Then back to the hotel in time for the evening meet & greet. Hard to be festive when we’ve just learned about our new job shifts, but we met some interesting people and it was a good networking opportunity.

Planned what we’re taking at the conference and then off to bed! The conference sessions start at 7:30am…so we have to get up early.

Night from Boston!
